Type a name such as yourbrand.com, yourbrand.pk or yourbrand.com.pk and the result shows straight away, with no account needed. If it is free, you can register it with Alif Host and pay in Pakistani Rupees: a .com is PKR 3,000 for the first year and a .pk is PKR 5,000 for 2 years.

What to Do If the Domain Name Is Taken

Try another extension

If the .com is gone, check .pk or .com.pk. For a business that sells in Pakistan, a .pk domain is often the better choice anyway. See .PK domain registration.

Change the name a little

Add your city or what you do, for example yourbrandkarachi.com or yourbrandstore.pk. Keep it short, easy to spell and free of numbers and hyphens where you can.

Look up who owns it

Before you register, also make sure the name is not a well-known brand or trademark, so you do not lose it later. If you plan to build a website straight away, a yearly shared hosting Business or Premium plan includes a free .com domain for the first year.

Yes. The domain name check on Alif Host is free and does not need an account. You only pay if you decide to register an available name.
Type the full name with its extension, for example yourbrand.pk or yourbrand.com.pk, into the checker and press search. The result shows whether the name is free. A .pk domain costs PKR 5,000 for 2 years, the minimum term set by PKNIC.
It means someone has already registered that exact name. You can try another extension such as .pk or .com.pk, change the name slightly, or run a WHOIS lookup to see when the current registration expires.
At Alif Host a .com costs PKR 3,000 for the first year and renews at PKR 4,000. A .pk or .com.pk costs PKR 5,000 for 2 years, and budget extensions such as .store, .website and .shop start at PKR 640 for the first year. A .com is free for the first year with yearly Business or Premium shared hosting.
A .com becomes active soon after your payment is confirmed. A .pk domain becomes active after PKNIC, the .pk registry, processes the registration. Once it is active you can point it to your hosting and set up email from the client area.
