What Is a Domain and Hosting Package?
A domain and hosting package gives you the two things every website needs in one order: the domain (your address, such as yourbusiness.com) and the hosting (the server space where your website files and emails live). Buying them together from one company means one bill, one support team and no DNS settings to copy between providers.

Which Package Should You Choose?
For most first websites, a shared hosting plan with a free .com domain is the best value. At Alif Host, the Business and Premium shared plans (and WP Business and WP Pro) include a free .com domain when you pay yearly. The Starter and WP Starter plans do not:

What a Good Package Should Include
Whichever company you choose, make sure the package includes these, so you do not pay extra later:
- Free SSL certificate (the padlock in the browser). Alif Host includes free AutoSSL on every hosting plan.
- Business email on your own domain, such as info@yourbusiness.com. See business email hosting.
- cPanel or another easy control panel to manage files, email and databases.
- One-click WordPress installation if you plan to use WordPress.
- Backups, and a clear answer on how to restore one.
- Billing in PKR with local payment methods, so the price does not change with the exchange rate.
.COM or .PK for Your Package?
The free domain in Alif Host packages is a .com. If you want a local Pakistani address, you can add a .pk domain for PKR 5,000, which PKNIC registers for 2 years. How to Buy a Domain and Hosting Package in One Order
You can set everything up in about 15 minutes:
Step 1: Pick a plan
Choose a shared hosting plan. Select yearly billing on Business or Premium to get the free .com.
Step 2: Choose your domain
At checkout, search for your domain and add it to the same order. If you already own a domain elsewhere, you can use it instead and point it to Alif Host.

Mistakes to Avoid
These are the most common ways people overpay or lose their domain:
- Registering the domain in a developer's or agency's name. Make sure the domain is in your own name and you have the Client Area login.
- Picking a package only on first-year price. Check what the hosting and the domain cost to renew.
- Buying a VPS for a small website. Shared hosting is enough for most new sites; you can upgrade later.
- Forgetting renewal. Turn on auto-renew so your website and email do not stop.
